Fantastic colour relationships inspire me. Sketchbook and camera are always close by. In the studio a painting can be arrived at through the rough sketch, a photograph or the memory of a scene. Paintings veer towards the abstract, suggesting more than describing the landscapes and figures which have inspired them.
