David 'Dee' Craig

Dee has been a community artist for 20 years, working with numerous groups and organisations on different art projects including re-imaging communities. He has been commissioned for three pieces of art by the Ulster museum as part of their “icons of identity” exhibition.

Dee represented Northern Ireland at the Smithsonian folk life festival 2007 in Washington DC where he painted a large scale 30ft high mural on the national Mall, representing and celebrating the industrial heritage of Belfast. Recently commissioned by the arts council N.I. to complete one of three pieces of art for phase one of Europe’s largest outdoor gallery at Cupar Way in Belfast, Dee has also received an award from Belfast Media group for being one of Belfast’s ‘Top 40 under 40’ and has been tipped as one of a new wave of future leaders in his field.
